Bikers Show How Little of the Road They Need vs. Cars

The age-old friction between bicyclists and motorists over limited space on the road took a new turn when a group of riders helped everyone understand just how much space today’s cars gobble up.

To make a visual point, a group of Latvian cycling advocates decided to create a visual demonstration for International Car Free Day.

The group prepared skeletal car frames, attached to their bikes, and took to the streets to illustrate how much better traffic could be if commuters opted for bikes over cars.

The point was made: most of us utilize massive, inefficient vehicle machines to move a single person across town.

Sounds like it’s time to dust off your bike!
