Octo Telematics Joins Global Road Safety Coalition

Octo Telematics,  a telematics service provider to insurance partners, carmakers and rental companies, has has joined Together for Safer Roads (TSR), a coalition that brings together global private-sector companies to focus on improving road safety and reducing deaths and injuries from road traffic collisions.

Other members include AB InBev, AIG, AT&T, Chevron, Ericsson, Facebook, IBM, iHeartMedia, PepsiCo, Republic Services, Ryder, UPS and Walmart.

Here’s the fit: Octo brings insights to TSR through aggregate data and experience on driver safety, which is aligned with the coalition’s mission to combine its members’ knowledge, data, technology and networks to promote safer roads, vehicles and systems, as well as safer road users.

Octo’s global footprint and expertise is in detecting and analyzing crash data for insurance partners, carmakers and rental companies – as well as providing feedback to drivers themselves.

“With over four million worldwide connected users, our core business – real time monitoring and long term analysis of driving behaviors and contributing risk factors for safer roads – is directly aligned with the mission of Together for Safer Roads,” said Nino Tarantino, CEO, Octo Telematics North America.
