BYD Applauds California Governor, Legislature for Climate Leadership
Stella Li, President of BYD America, a global leader and innovator in battery technology for energy storage systems and vehicles, has applauded California Governor Jerry Brown and the California State Legislature on their action to ensure California’s continued leadership in the fight against global climate change.
Li statd: “Under the leadership of Governor Brown and the California State Legislature, the Golden State has made great strides in reducing our carbon footprint, and we’re showing the nation and the world that we can fight climate change while still supporting the economy and creating good-paying jobs. With the passage and signing of SB 32 and AB 197, California is again reaffirming its commitment to securing cleaner air and a healthier environment for future generations.”
The stakes are indeed high, for the environment and BYD, which is the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world. BYD America is headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles and builds electric buses at its manufacturing facility in Lancaster, CA.
