2015 Chevy Spark EV Price Cut to $14,995 After Tax Credits
Chevy has announced that it is dropping the price of the 2015 Spark EV to $25,995 and, according to the company, after the available tax credits, the price could drop as low as $14,995.
That’s quite a shock.
Only a few years ago, electric cars were too expensive for many buyers, with sticker prices that seem high compared to similar-type vehicles.
In sharp contrast, electric cars seem to be gettng cheaper, while the technology improves.
Like other electric cars, the Spark EV is eligible for a federal tax credit up to $7,500, as well as available state incentives. For example, Spark EV owners may also qualify for a $2,500 state rebate in California or $2,300 excise tax exemption in Maryland.
Chevy is also sweetening the pot with additional bonus cash: $1,000 in California, $1,200 in Maryland, and $3,500 in Oregon.
