Sharing Economy Moves to Freight with New On-Demand Platform

The sharing economy is moving to the commercial trucking field with On the Move Systems (OTCBB: OMVS), which has announced that it is recruiting trucking companies to join its new “Uber”-style on-demand freight platform.

The service, offered through its ISTX platform, will provide quick local customized freights for users, creating a national network of freight delivery.

The on-demand freight platform is part of OMVS’ new website and focus to incorporate freight services into the popular “sharing-economy” model that has boosted the independent lodging and driver service industries. “We’re seeking out small-to-middle market trucking companies available to join our network,” said OMVS CEO Robert Wilson.

“The new platform is a huge opportunity for individual truckers and independent trucking companies alike to be a part of the future of how freight will be handled.”

The company is currently meeting with an independent freight and logistic company, and plans are underway to target additional companies looking to broaden their network of providers.
