Omnitracs, LLC, a leading provider of fleet management solutions to transportation and logistics companies, has announced that Brad Taylor, vice president of data and Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions, will participate as a speaker at the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) 2016 Annual Convention.

Taylor’s presentation, “Driving Fleet Productivity with Big Data – What You Should Know,” will uncover what is big data and predictive analytics, why it matters, and how fleets can leverage it to improve productivity and efficiency. The TCA Annual Convention will take place March 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nev., and brings for-hire carriers, industry suppliers, and individuals involved with truckload-specific operations together to share ideas and develop new strategies for the future.

  • Dates: Sunday, March 6, 2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. PST; Monday, March 7, 1:15 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. PST
  • Presentation Title: “Driving Fleet Productivity with Big Data – What You Should Know”
  • Location: Montrachet 2; Wynn Las Vegas Resort, Las Vegas, NV

As Omnitracs notes, “Every day, fleets generate thousands of data points that hold valuable insight into the performance of both vehicles and drivers. By extrapolating key indicators from this large array of data, fleets can identify problem areas and where there is room for improvement relating to efficiency, safety and costs—yet not every fleet knows how to harness it or what to do with it.”

In his session, Taylor will explore why business intelligence solution aren’t just for the “big guys,” how leading fleets are relying on big data to transform operational efficiency, and delve into the unique applications of big data analytics.
